Empty Skips

If you are using or are planning to use skip hire West London to move unwanted items away from your property, you should avoid leaving the skip empty for long periods of time.

Whether you have invested in skip hire in West London or are using a skip elsewhere you may find yourself at risk of having the item utilised by others. Empty skips can be a tempting place for people to attempt to get rid of their own rubbish. And this means you are either left paying for services used by someone else or you will have to get into the tip to remove the objects yourself. There are a number of ways in which you can avoid this happening, however. One of the most important is to avoid booking your skip hire too early. You should try to make use of the skip as soon as it arrives, as a half-full container is less inviting to would-be rubbish tippers.

Let’s talk Rubbish

Did you know that skips should be level filled, this means do not overfill above the sides of the skips. Overloaded skips are dangerous as waste material may fall out and can make uplifting the skip impossible.

This is illegal and at Skip Hire West London we are unable to carry a skip with an unsafe load. Overloaded skips can not be moved as this causes a significant danger to pedestrians, other road users and the environment.

Secondly, you must ensure that the location of the skip does not cause an obstruction and or compromise health & safety.

Finally, once the skip has been delivered, you must not attempt to move the skip.  If you need to re position the skip, please contact the skip department of Skip Hire in West London.
